About BidWise
BidWise connects homeowners and local contractors through a web portal that is available now. Here is what the product does, what it costs, and what it does not promise.

From the founder
For 18 years I lived and breathed the construction industry—estimating jobs, managing crews, chasing payments, and trying to keep a business alive in a market that often felt stacked against the people who actually do the work.
Like most contractors, I turned to lead-generation services that promised a steady stream of homeowners ready to hire. I tried several over the years. In my experience, the sales pitches promised exclusive, high-intent leads. The reality was very different.
I paid for requests that other contractors were also pursuing. Some were vague or outdated; others came from people who were price-shopping or had already hired someone. I still paid whether I won the work or whether the homeowner even answered the phone. Hundreds of dollars a month ate into already-thin margins.
I saw frustration on the homeowner side, too. A simple request for a roof repair or kitchen remodel could turn into unwanted calls, texts, and emails. Contractors needed a better way to find work, and homeowners needed a more private way to compare their options.
After nearly two decades of watching good contractors waste money and good homeowners get overwhelmed, I decided the industry needed something different. Not another platform selling shared leads at premium prices. Something built around fairness, transparency, and actual results.
Homeowners post projects with photos, details, and budgets. Local contractors review the scope and submit competitive bids. Multiple contractors can bid on a project, but BidWise does not sell shared leads, charge per-lead fees, or offer paid placement and boosted listings.
During the first 3 signup calendar months, the first 5 submitted bids in each UTC calendar month have no accepted-bid fee. Additional bids remain available during those months and are charged a 5% accepted-bid fee only if accepted (rounded to the nearest whole dollar, $1 minimum). After that introductory period, submitted bids remain available and the same 5% accepted-bid fee applies only when a bid is accepted. Losing or unwon bids have no fee. BidWise Pro costs $14.99 per month for unlimited bids with no accepted-bid fees. This policy applies to all contractors; prior pricing does not carry over. Conversations stay inside BidWise. Contact information is private by default; after a bid is accepted, the homeowner may choose whether to share it. BidWise does not automatically share contact information.
BidWise exists because the people who build and maintain homes deserve a marketplace that respects their time and their margins, and because homeowners deserve a clean, private way to compare real bids without being bombarded.
The long-term aim has never been to build a company that makes millions. It has always been to help millions—contractors who can keep more of what they earn and homeowners who can hire with confidence and without the spam.
After 18 years in the field, this is the product I wish had existed from the beginning.

Available now
The web portal is available for account creation, project posts, bids, and private project conversations. Sign in or create an account to see the current experience.
Screening enforcement is currently disabled. We are currently finalizing our verification process. A listing does not mean the account holder or crew has passed a BidWise background check. A status is not a guarantee of workmanship, licensing, insurance, or project outcome.
Clear terms
BidWise publishes the current contractor pricing and eligibility here instead of asking contractors to guess what “pay when you win” means.

No. Contractor screening is not currently active. A listing does not mean the account holder or crew has passed a BidWise background check. Independently verify qualifications, licensing, insurance, and references before hiring.
Job messaging opens for the homeowner and accepted contractor after bid acceptance and, when an accepted-bid fee is due, after payment is confirmed. An active Pro entitlement or eligible introductory waiver removes that fee. There is no charge to submit, review, or lose a bid. Personal contact details are shared only if the homeowner separately chooses to share them.
