How much does BidWise cost contractors?
During the first 3 signup calendar months, the first 5 submitted bids in each UTC calendar month have no accepted-bid fee. Additional bids remain available during those months and are charged a 5% accepted-bid fee only if accepted (rounded to the nearest whole dollar, $1 minimum). After that introductory period, submitted bids remain available and the same 5% accepted-bid fee applies only when a bid is accepted. Losing or unwon bids have no fee. BidWise Pro costs $14.99 per month for unlimited bids with no accepted-bid fees. This policy applies to all contractors; prior pricing does not carry over.
Is BidWise available now?
Yes. The BidWise web portal is available now for account creation, project posts, bids, and private project conversations. Marketplace participation and service availability may vary by location as BidWise grows.
Does BidWise guarantee a background-checked contractor?
No. Contractor screening is not currently active. A listing does not mean the account holder or crew has passed a BidWise background check. Independently verify qualifications, licensing, insurance, and references before hiring.
When can homeowners and contractors message each other?
Job messaging opens for the homeowner and accepted contractor after bid acceptance and, when an accepted-bid fee is due, after payment is confirmed. An active Pro entitlement or eligible introductory waiver removes that fee. There is no charge to submit, review, or lose a bid. Personal contact details are shared only if the homeowner separately chooses to share them.
Are there any hidden fees or charges for losing bids?
Losing bids have no platform fee. On the free plan, the 5% platform fee applies to accepted bids unless waived; Pro has no accepted-bid fee and costs $14.99/month. Project service payments are separate and arranged between homeowner and contractor.
Can I request a platform-fee refund?
Contractors may submit an appeal on their accepted bid to request a platform-fee credit or refund. Requests are reviewed manually; neither submitting nor approval automatically issues money or guarantees a credit or refund. No monetary refund is available when no platform fee was charged. Pro subscription refunds have separate terms.
